Here

If I could tell my body one thing
And believe it
It would be
YOU ARE GOOD
Even when I don’t see it
Even when I don’t feel it, you are good
You’ve always been good

If I could reach out my hand
And offer a gentle touch on my shoulder
Instead of a punch in the gut
I would lay my fingers so softly
It would calm that gnawing ache I feel
So softly, I’d barely even know I was there
But that touch would say
I’m here

Here
What a confusing place to be
Inside this body that’s always been wrong
Here
Inside this mind that plays mistakes on repeat
And seems to forget all the reasons to believe
Here is where I’m meant to be
Here is safe
There’s no need to run

Yet I run
Unsure if I’m running to or away
Because no matter how far I run
I’m still here
My body, my mind, and I are here
Because maybe
Here is where we’re meant to be

Now it's your turn...I want to hear from you!
